Amanda Waring’s
campaign for the elderly
Amanda waring has been a
passionate campaigner for older people’s rights for the past five
years. Her award winning powerfully emotional film WHAT DO YOU SEE?
has been used in dignity trainings around the world. In 2006 Amanda
with the greater London forum held a conference for five hundred
delegates looking at the importance of dignity and respect within
care settings. Her film was debated by Martin green, professor
Norma raynes, the nurse and broadcaster Claire Rayner, the
undercover nurse from panorama Margaret HEYWOOD, and Penny Banks
from the Kings fund.
Amanda has been invited to speak
around the world with her film as an inspirational and motivational
speaker and workshop leader about the care of the elderly. The

She has just been interviewed by
Sir Michael Parkinson at the recent dignity conference at the

Amanda is very excited to be
launching her new film and training pack at the event at bafta on
jan 12th 2009 and is in production on her next film on
death and dying and end of Life care called THE BIG
ADVENTURE.
Amanda has talked on many tv and
radio programmes about her campaign including the today programme,
woman’s hour and bbc breakfast and given interviews to newspapers
to ensure this very important topic gathers momentum to ensure a
kinder and more compassionate future for us all. |
